Analyst, Governance and Sustainability

Josh performs corporate governance and sustainability research by utilizing his knowledge of Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), CDP, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals to assist clients in developing ESG policies and processes to align with internal strategy, industry best practices and stakeholder interests. Prior to joining Rivel, Josh spent several years with Baxter International and worked on efforts related to global water consumption, ecosystems services implementation, and coal powered electricity usage. He also represented Baxter during World Environment Day at the Chicago Botanic Gardens where he interacted with thousands of people and educated them on how to live healthier and more sustainable lives.
Josh enjoys hiking and playing tennis. He also likes to cook, visit new craft breweries, and is an avid gamer.
He earned a BS in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, with a concentration in Resource Conservation and Restoration Ecology from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MS in Sustainable Management from DePaul University’s Kellstadt’s Graduate School of Business. He also had a Baxter-sponsored study abroad experience in New Zealand.
