We are currently seeking a talented, self-assured Project Director in Training to join our Westport, CT office. This fast-paced role will allow the candidate to experience all facets of our research methodology, practice and product creation while on an accelerated path to becoming a Project Director.

Primary Responsibilities

(First Three Months)

  • Shadow individual Project Directors to become fully immersed in project lifecycle
  • Perform data quality control
  • Edit interview transcripts
  • Analyze and code respondent responses to our surveys
  • Database/sample maintenance
  • Create client presentations and reports
  • Finalize client deliverables (presentations, reports, crosstabs, transcripts)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Primary Responsibilities for Project Director

  • Act as primary liaison between Rivel and clients for duration of projects assigned
  • Develop questionnaires
  • Aid in sample creation
  • Analyze and code respondent responses to our surveys
  • Edit interview transcripts
  • Create client presentations and reports
  • Write executive summaries
  • Finalize client deliverables (presentations, reports, crosstabs, transcripts)
  • Ensure all deadlines on projects assigned are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum two years Market Research experience (Finance experience/coursework a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy a must
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities
  • Highly-motivated, self-starter, quick learner
  • Analytical and a team player
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office

The operational associate will be involved in all aspects of the firm’s work for Fortune 500 firms. This is a broad-based, fast-paced role and will allow the associate to experience all facets of our research methodology, practice and product creation. Rivel is currently seeking a financially astute person to interview securities analysts and portfolio managers regarding publicly-traded companies over the telephone. The position will be on a contract basis and requires refined executive interviewing skills, an ability to interact comfortably with demanding respondents over the course of 15-minute telephone interviews, probe their opinions, and to be persistent and patient.

Since Rivel’s interviewers are on the front line directly with investment professionals, they are incredibly important to our success. By engaging investment professionals in a meaningful dialogue, the interviewers provide the most accurate, relevant and reliable data for Rivel to interpret and then deliver strategic guidance to its clients.

This is an excellent position for former investor relations professionals, business-to-business marketing research executives or those with interviewing experience with a particular emphasis on finance. Assignments will start on a trial basis and can increase with proven success.

Rivel Research Group, a rapidly growing valuation, risk and communications consultancy is currently seeking a self-assured, motivated and highly ethical sales professional to join our powerful business development team at our Westport, CT location. The position requires strong sales prospecting and relationship-building ability, demonstrated by at least three years’ experience, preferably in the financial services or investor relations field or other related area. Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with future clients
  • Work a territory effectively to maximize marketing and sales efforts
  • Travel quarterly to meet with clients and prospects
