John works with boards, management teams and IR professionals across varying industries, cap sizes and geographies to mitigate capital markets risk, enhance and improve investor engagement and valuation. He utilizes his knowledge of the global buy-side and capital raising experience to provide an informed, consultative approach for clients, and helps them leverage data to formulate strategy and identify opportunities to achieve corporate objectives. He is based in Rivel’s London office.
Prior to joining Rivel, John spent five years in independent capital markets advisory at STJ Advisors helping companies navigate the IPO process, and 20 years in investment banking working on a trading floor in institutional equity sales and management (Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers, WestLB Securities, Uralsib Capital). He has also been a NASADAQ-listed, company-independent board member.
John is a part of the UCLA Centennial Campaign European Finance Committee. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, gardening, golfing, playing piano and attending classical music concerts.
He earned a BA in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, and an MBA in Finance from the Anderson School at UCLA.
