Director of Business Development, Governance and Sustainability
With Rivel since 2020
Doug works closely with Managing Director Dave Bobker to grow and develop Rivel's Governance and Sustainability services, including the Corporate Governance Intelligence Council, Corporate Responsibility Advisory (ESG) and Board Evaluation services. He consults with clients on governance, ESG, engagement and disclosure matters, helping them understand and communicate their corporate governance and sustainability value propositions to stakeholders.
Prior to joining Rivel, Doug worked at Georgeson, a Computershare company, for more than 16 years. During his tenure there, he provided hundreds of companies with solutions that helped them to engage with their registered and retail investor base. He implemented projects for a variety of business lines, including the company's asset reunification business, of which he was the firm's subject matter expert. In addition, he was responsible for developing new business opportunities for Georgeson's small shareholder ("oddlot") programs and Computershare's corporate actions services.
Doug enjoys staying active by bike riding and working out. He also loves to read, cook and spend time with his three children.
He graduated with a BA in Literature from Bard College.
