President - Building on Rivel's core research foundation, Brian is responsible for guiding the new direction of the firm. Rivel's mission is to become the preeminent investment community research provider to both US and international public companies. This vision is being realized as Rivel Research Group has now worked with over half of the global Fortune 100. He plays a crucial role in helping clients gain insight on corporate governance matters, C-Suite strategy and planning, and investor communications. In addition to implementing Rivel's research strategy and focus, Brian is a frequent presenter to board members, management teams and communications professionals on how research can add value to an organization by building competitive advantage. He works closely with Rivel's strategy team to insure that the aforementioned three groups understand how they are perceived among their key constituencies and what changes can be implemented to improve valuation. Brian has authored several articles in business publications highlighting the power of conducting strategic research among global financial community audiences. He received a BS in Finance from Boston University.

Executive Vice President - Jim has spent his entire career in marketing research, having come to Rivel Research Group in 1992 from Yankelovich. Since that time, he has become one of the foremost authorities on investment community research, having conducted hundreds of national and multinational studies for some of the world's largest companies, with particular expertise on the US capital markets. He also has written extensively on issues pertinent to investor communications. With his broad background and deep understanding of various segments of the financial community, Jim guides and protects the integrity of all survey research initiatives, and makes certain Rivel's research is held to the highest standards of unbiased objectivity. In addition to designing research solutions with the strategy team, Jim is responsible for crafting final reports and presenting research data to clients. Jim graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University and received his Masters in International Affairs and Business from George Washington University.

Senior Vice President - Steve is a seasoned business executive with over 25 years of experience who understands many of the issues facing our corporate clients. Given his background, he spends much of his time analyzing how company-specific events can mandate the need for research. As an integral part of the strategy team, Steve is responsible for the analysis of clients' data, providing context and direction for specific research projects. He received a BS in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Connecticut.

Senior Vice President - Gene has been with Rivel since 2000 and is a senior member of the strategy team. Gene works with 60 of Rivel Research Group’s clients and heads up approximately 30 strategic investor perception studies annually. His primary responsibilities include project development, strategic analysis, senior management presentations, and client consultations. Prior to his arrival at Rivel, Gene had an extensive career as a retail stockbroker, first as an account executive and later as a managing principal of a regional brokerage firm. Gene graduated from the Hofstra University School of Business.

Vice President – Reid is responsible for the development and growth of Rivel’s research offerings for small and micro cap companies. Reid comes to Rivel with a 21 year career in sales and business development. Much of Reid’s career has been spent in the research industry starting with Gartner Group where he managed major relationships with a variety of top ranked Wall Street investment banks then later with Guideline where he led business development efforts across a variety of industry sectors. Reid has spent a majority of his career developing customized solutions to address the unique needs of his clients. Reid graduated from Clemson University where he obtained a BS in Business Administration.

Executive Assistant - Lori is responsible for most of Rivel's internal office administration and for making sure the office runs efficiently. She also aids the operations and marketing teams in all administrative functions, database maintenance and travel planning.

Technology Manager - Brian heads up Rivel's technology department, including website management, internal databases and Internet functionality. In addition, Brian is continually exploring ways to deliver our data to clients more effectively using new technologies.

Operations Director - Mike‘s prime responsibilities include managing the operational workflow schedule in creating the core data set (verbatim comments, coding and tables), maintaining quality control and delivery of refined data for presentation and report writing. In addition, Mike is the in-house expert on, and responsible for maintaining Rivel’s normative database.

Director of Marketing - Barbara came to Rivel in 2000 after spending 14 years in retail operations. Barbara is the chief liaison between the strategy team and operations to ensure that all client needs are met. She works very closely with Brian Rivel helping to expand Rivel's core competency and future business development. She also coordinates all travel, client presentations and speaking engagements.

Project Director – Jenn is one of two operational project directors for Rivel Research Group, working closely with the Executive Vice President, strategy team and client in the development of the research initiative, questionnaire and respondent group.
